After years of declining trips on Lake Nokomis due to the abundance of gigantic smallmouth bass located just minutes I was happy enough with the results to begin offering trips starting in Summer of 2024. These trips are designed to share what techniques and locations I have fished on Lake Nokomis with the hopes of my customers being able to fish these locations more as the summer goes on.  My preference is to fish topwater for Bass, Northern, Muskie (or maybe just under the surface)for exciting action. The quality and quantity of bass and northern has definitely gone down over the years but pending water temperatures, weed growth, and water levels I feel confident my customers will find fish on your next adventure from your cabin after spending a half day with me.

With so many inquires about fishing Nokomis I have decided to try a few things out for this summer since I am now here full time and able to fish Nokomis more.   I have realized my boat is a river boat and is not a big fast Bass boat to get from one and of the lake to the other.  With that, many of you now have places on the lake or have a boat that is able to get 3 people on plain from spot to spot in a timely manner.  Therefore, I have come up with

the trips below.

Exploratory Trip (3hr)

-One option- We take your boat

-Option two- We can take my boat knowing we will not be going fast

(we would add thirty minutes so you are actually fishing for 3 hours.)

-We can use my equipment or yours if you are more comfortable

-We will explore different locations that have been succesful this summer

-We will have realistic expectations of catching small Largemouth 12" - 16" and many Northern under 20".  On top water which is still super fun. 

(With the possiblity of Smallmouth and Muskie)

Price: $250

Give me a break Trip (2.5hr) - or more if you really need a break

Every once in awhile parent need a break so this trip is for you.

Targeted for youth ages 7 to 18.  For those worried about my sanity...please remember I am a High School teacher during the school year so I got this!

We can do panfish or we can cast for Bass and Northern, whatever you think will keep your kids on the water and happy when they come back! 

My number 1 goal is to show them how much fun fishing is/can be and to offer a few tips and tricks forsuccess in the future.  

Price:  $200 *you may add additional hours at $50 an hour*

Truly we can customize a trip however you'd like but these are my thoughts on how to provide a service that I feel offers value on Lake Nokomis.  That said, just remember there are giant Smallmouth just 10mins away if you are interested!
